Retta “Tiny” Pickering, age 69, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, October 25, 2023.

Visitation will be held 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM Wednesday, November 1st at the McGilley Antioch Chapel. Committal services will be 1:30 PM Wednesday at the Leavenworth National Cemetery. Contributions are suggested to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.

Retta devoted her life to being a mom, grandma, and great grandma. She was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Pickering; a daughter, Nicole Pickering; and parents, James and Mildred Black.

Survivors include her children, Antoinette Pickering, Michelle Weyant, Aaron Pickering, and Cindy Gawelczyk; sister, Shirley Black; sister in law, Iris Beck; 6 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
