My Reece Pooh, you have always been a big part of my life and been there for me since the first day. You were always such a strong, independent, hardworking person. You were so determined and always had everyone smiling. I love you so much and miss you everyday. You will always be in my heart and remembered. I’m so glad I was able to meet you and be in your life. You’ve helped me become who I am today. I will forever cherish our memories we made together. ❤️🕊️

Reece was a shining happy light when he came into the hardware store - I just knew immediately that he was an outstanding young man.  I am so very glad that I got to meet him and tell him our crazy nerf gun to the eyeball introduction story.  Words cannot express how much the world will miss having him in it.  Sending your family lots of love and prayers.

Having the Damiano family as neighbors was divine intervention as we've become like family. We have known Nick, Reece,Lily and Charlotte since birth. At this time, we empathize with the family as we all celebrate the life of Reece and his amazing spirit. As we gathered to share our favorite Reece memories, we recall him always asking if our senior citizen father needed help with carrying in groceries or doing lawn work. He always loved adventure and would often build tactical obstacle courses and run drills in his front yard thus showing off his athletic skills which later transferred to the wrestling mats, soccer and baseball fields. He was an amazing young man who we will never forget. Joe, Jennifer and family, may God hold you in the palm of his hands.

My deepest sympathies to Reece’s family and friends.  Although I never had the pleasure of meeting Reece in person, through his father and sister’s loving  stories I felt as though I had.  I know his vitality and spontaneous good natured will be missed by all.  My profound condolences.

If I wrote a children's book about a teen who battled all obstacles with a bat, and then wrestled them to the ground, I'd name the hero, Reece.  Reece would save his family and his village. 

He was a gentle soul who truly loved his family, the dogs, his sister's chickens, snow days, his parents, and his grandparents. Often, he would break into a wide smile with the thought of something that had happened at home and shake his head that he was okay, just thinking of something funny,

When I look at the other students' pictures of Reece, he clearly remembered who he was and "Whose" he was. His friends were among the best of the student body. Not a boy who was bored and sought trouble. 

A teacher friend told me that Reece had passed. (I'd been out myself.) We marveled at the young man who'd shared our classrooms. He stood out. Not just the mane of blond hair and wide smile..... He was a leader in thought, humor, and in stopping bullies with a joke. 

The teachers of CMS will do what we can to support his youngest sister. CHS will support the sister closest to him by birth. We can try. We aren't Reece. We can try.

We teachers will remember him as the boy who took the high road. If it meant more effort, he'd buckle down, take the additional steps, and eventually ask for a break.

We are comforted to know that  he tried. So hard. God saw that he needed a break.  God definitely gained a loving heart and mind. 

We will look at things that made him smile, and remember him with wide smiles of our own and a few tears.
