Ray H. Nolen, 84, of Kansas City, MO, passed away May 19, 2013 at Research Medical Center. He was born November 20, 1928 in Kansas City, MO, son of George and Maude (McGee) Nolen. Ray leaves his wife Elaine of the home, daughters Patsy and Mary Alice, sisters-in-law June Nolen and Shirley Kral, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Ethel Alene and brothers Harvey, Jim, Gary, Charles and Ed.
Ray served in the Navy during World War II, retired from the Iron Workers Union in 1990, and was an avid motorcycle rider along with his wife Elaine in his younger years. He was also a member of Peace Lutheran Church, Odd Fellows, Rebekah Lodge and the American Legion.
Visitation from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 22, at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Rd., Rebekah and Odd Fellows services at 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 23, at Peace Lutheran Church, 8240 Blue Ridge Blvd. Burial in Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to American Veterans Association.
