Randy enjoyed fishing and sitting around the fire pit with friends at Truman Lake. He loved spending time and playing with his granddaughters Adaline and Charlotte. Randy enjoyed long road trips - finding, "out of the way roads" - and spending time with family. Randy was a history buff - loved old cars and old movies!
Randy served in the United States Navy from 1975 - 1979. He retired in 2013 from the United States Postal service as a letter carrier after 34 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his father, James P. Miller, mother, Joyce F. (Roden) Miller and brother Garry Miller.
He is survived by his loving wife Jill of 38 years, son Christopher and his wife Jamie, grandchildren Adaline & Charlotte, mother-in-law Alma Murray, brother-in-law Thayne Murray (Terri), brother-in-law R.E. Murray (Terri Diane), nieces and nephews Hayden (Mia), Hunter, Jacob, Jordan (Josh), sisters Janice Miller and Carol Ritter and many other family members and friends.
A Memorial Visitation for Randy will be held Saturday, October 22, 2022 from 10:00 - 11:30 am at Mt Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64131, followed by a military flag folding and presentation with taps at 11:15 am.
