Ralph William Klein, aged 95, passed away on November 21, 2023. He was born on July 9, 1928, to his parents, Arthur and Emma Klein, in Mascoutah, Illinois. He left an indelible mark on the hearts of those around him.
Ralph moved to Kansas City in 1959 and he started a fast food restaurant. After closing the restaurant, he started a career in the concrete business. Ralph had an unwavering passion for life, and his enthusiasm for various interests was infectious. A true sports aficionado, he held a special place in his heart for NASCAR, football, and baseball. His eyes would light up with joy whenever he engaged in conversations about his favorite teams or attended live events.
Beyond his love for sports, Ralph had a wanderlust that led him to discover the beauty of the world through travel. His adventurous spirit took him to various corners of the globe, creating a treasure trove of memories that will be cherished by those fortunate enough to have shared those journeys with him.
Ralph is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Emma Klein; wife, Marion Klein; and two daughters, Jane Wilcox-Hazlet and Nancy Barlow
He is survived by his son, Dan (Brenda) Klein; 13 grandkids; many great-grandkids; many nieces and nephews; special friend, Lou Woods and is loved and missed by all his brothers and sisters.
A visitation will be held from 5-7 PM on Friday, November 24 at Floral Hills Funeral Home, 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd, Kansas City, MO. His funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, November 25, also at Floral Hills Funeral Home, followed by a graveside service on the same grounds.
