Phillip J. Gomez

Phillip J. Gomez, 78, a longtime resident of the Westside of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 27, 2021 at his home. Survivors include his loving wife & high school sweetheart of 60 years, Alice Gomez. Phil graduated from De La Salle High School in 1961. He was a devoted & loving husband, son, brother, father, grandpa & friend. He leaves behind his children, Phillip Jr., Steven (Sylvia), Deanne (Chris), Yolanda (Steve), and James; grandchildren, Corina, Jeanette, Raymond, Phillip III, James Jr., Rachelle, Braulio, Anthony, Steven Jr., Elisa, Rueben; 16 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Don Gomez (Bea), Anita Garcia (Louis), Vicky Thomas (Kevin), Michael Gomez (Jean); and several nieces, nephews & cousins. Phillip is reunited in Heaven with his parents, Phillip & Mikela Gomez; sister, Patricia; and 1 great-grand angel. Phillip was a proud 40-year Teamster at Inland Cold Storage & Yellow Freight.
