Peggy Fitch

Peggy Jo Fitch, 60, Gladstone, MO, passed away May 16, 2013 at NorthCare Hospice House. Memorial services are 6:00 PM Friday, May 24th at the McGilley Antioch Chapel; cremation. In lieu of flowers contributions are suggested to NorthCare Hospice and Palliative Care.

Peggy was born February 23, 1953 to Richard E and Wanda J McAtee in Hays, KS. She married L. Robert Fitch on November 5, 1976 in Idaho Falls, ID. A resident of Idaho for 35 years, Peggy received an Associate Degree from Idaho State University and was employed for more than 25 years as a nurse. Later she also received an Associate Degree in graphics from Amarillo College. She moved to Gladstone 12 years ago. Peggy was a member of Northland Stitchers, Northland Reading Group and the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art. She was a 30-year member of Girl Scouts serving as a troop leader. She also supported many local charities. Peggy was preceded in death by her parents and an infant sister, Pamela McAtee.

Survivors include her husband, L. Robert Fitch, Gladstone, MO; daughter, Abby Fitch and husband, Alberto Garcia, Westminister, CO; son, Robert S Fitch, Mission, KS; sisters, Diana Potter and husband, Tom, Pocatello, ID and Nancy McAtee and husband, John St Clair, Reston, VA; and 2 grandchildren.
