She was born in “Rural” Liberty, Missouri on March 9th, 1954 to her parents Claude Dale Fetters and Katherine Isabelle McIntosh. She attended schools at various locations in the Kansas City area until the 9th grade.
Peggy married her soul-mate Keith Brown on March 30th, 1973 in Kansas City, Missouri. She lived her life in Raytown and Kansas City, Missouri and spent most of her working life in various positions at Kansas City’s government weapons complex. With over 30 years devoted there, she saw many changes including ownership from Bendix, to Allied Signal, to Honeywell.
Peggy’s life was fulfilled with work, family, traveling and visiting casinos all across the U.S.
Peggy is survived by her husband; Keith Brown of Kansas City, Missouri. A son; David (Daniela) Brown of Pleasant Hill, Missouri. A daughter; Amy (Joe) Hegendeffer of Lee’s Summit, Missouri. Four grandchildren; Charles Hegendeffer, Matthew Brown, Noah Hegendeffer, and Isabel Hegendeffer. Two brothers; William B. Fetters of Grain Valley, Missouri, and Virgil Fetters of Buckner, Missouri. One sister; Betty J. Graham of Mesa, Arizona.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters; Claudine Blue, Janet Keeney, Edith L. Fetters, Mary McLaughlin, and four brothers; Edward Fetters, David F. Fetters, Theodore A. Fetters, and James L. Fetters.
A funeral service will be held Friday, March 3rd, 2023 at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home (10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64131) at 7:00PM. The family will welcome visitors and family prior to the service on Friday from 6 - 7:00PM at the same location.
