Born on September 19, 1969, Paula's journey through life was marked by compassion, creativity, and an unwavering commitment to her community. She touched countless lives as a devoted cheerleading coach for the NSYFL Giants and Boy Scout leader for over a decade. Her impact reached beyond professional roles, earning her the endearing title of "The Fixer" at Pioneer Music Company.
Her annual pilgrimage to the Buffalo National River in Arkansas was a cherished tradition, where she not only embraced nature but also collected friendship rocks, symbolizing the bonds she formed with those she held dear.
Family was at the core of Paula's being. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Joseph and Martha Taylor, and James and Beulah Shepherd, along with her aunt Vanessa and uncle Michael.
Paula is survived by her loving children, Taylor and Madison Mead, her father Lonnie Taylor, mother Diana Garzee, sister Lauri Birkinbine, brother Joseph Baker, stepmother Frances Taylor, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at the McGilley Antioch Chapel on December 29, 2023. Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm, followed by a memorial service at 2:30 pm. A reception will be held thereafter, providing an opportunity for all who knew Paula to come together, share memories, and find solace in each other's company.
As we say our final goodbyes, let us remember Paula for the laughter she brought, the love she shared, and the indomitable spirit that will forever echo in our hearts. May she rest in peace, surrounded by the love she so freely gave throughout her remarkable life.
