Paul A. Muñoz

Paul A. Munoz, 59 of KCMO passed away February 15, 2017 at St. Luke’s Hospice House. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 am Monday, February 20, 2017 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Shrine, 901 Avenida Cesar E. Chavez, KCMO, 64108. Burial in Forest Hill Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 3-6 pm Sunday, February 19, 2017 at the Shrine, where the rosary will be prayed at 5:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Luke’s Hospice House.

Paul was born August 4, 1957 in Kansas City, MO to Tillie and Ramon Munoz. Paul was a graduate of Our Lady of Guadalupe School and Lillis High School. He was a plumber by trade and retired after working over 20 years at the Kansas Board of Utilities as a power house mechanic. Away from work, Paul was a fantastic cook and baker(his cheesecake was spectacular!) and had been a tailor. That taught him to be the meticulous dresser he was known to be. He was a diehard MIZZOU fan; loved the old style country music, George Strait was his favorite. Strong in his Catholic faith, Paul helped people anytime he could.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Tillie and Ramon Munoz; his brother Raymond Munoz, Jr.; his sister, Betty Baldasso; his sister-in-law, Mary Ann Munoz and father-in-law Moises Baca. Paul is survived by his wife, Amy Munoz, his daughter, Andrea Munoz (Robin); his step-son, Michael Gonzales; five brothers, Alfred Munoz, Joe Munoz (Alicia), John Munoz (Irene), Edward Munoz (Rita) and Michael Munoz (Marisol); four sisters, Victoria Munoz, Mary Grace Garcia (Michael), Irene Munoz (Linda) and Rita Zuniga (Michael); mother-in-law, Virginia Baca; brothers-in-law Louis Baldasso and Moises Baca, Jr., and sister-in-law Patricia Munoz; and a great many nieces and nephews.
