Paul Montes

Paul Montes, 86, Kansas City, Missouri passed away peacefully at his home December 24, 2016. Visitation from 7:00-9:00 p.m., with Rosary at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, December 29, at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road. Funeral Mass will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 30, at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church, 4101 E. 105th Terrace, Kansas City, Missouri 64137. Burial in Leavenworth National Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 2. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Catherine’s Church or Heartland Hospice.

Paul was born May 11, 1930 in Kansas City, Kansas, son of John and Antonia (Costello) Montes. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He had worked as a meat cutter. Paul loved bowling and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, his first wife Guadalupe Montes, and two sisters-in-law. Paul is survived by his wife Caroline, three children, two stepchildren, thirteen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, four brothers and three sisters.
