Paul H. “Happy” Maroun, 85, of Kansas City, MO passed away October 4, 2010. Visitation will be Thursday, October 7th from 9:00-11:00 AM at St. Patrick Catholic Church 1401 NE 42nd Terr. Kansas City, MO 64116 with a Rosary said by the Knights of Columbus at 10:30 AM. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 AM following the Rosary. Burial will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
Paul was born January 14, 1925 in Flint, Michigan. He was married to his beloved wife Evelyn for 61 years. Paul worked for TWA over 40 years as an international purchasing agent. He was a member of many organizations including: Fr. Hager Council 7064 Knights of Columbus, Msgr. Wogan 4th Degree Assembly 2315, Northland Optimist Club, American Lebanese Syrian Associated Charities, American Legion Post 1000, VFW Post 7356. He was a U.S Navy veteran serving in WWII and the Korean Conflict.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents; Said and Julia Maroun, brothers; Louis Maroun, James Maroun, sisters; Mary Sauder and Sister Helen Maroun SSJ-TOSF.
Survivors include; his wife, Evelyn, of the home, a brother; Maroun S. Maroun, many beloved nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews. All of whom will miss his wonderful personality and sense of humor.
Mr. Maroun’s family would like to thank the staff of Northcare Hospice and The Northcare Hospice House and express their appreciation to Fr. Shawn Ratigan, Fr. Gerald Waris and Deacon Mike Lewis during this difficult time.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Patrick Building Fund, St. Jude Children Hospital or Northcare Hospice.
