He was born on April 12, 1953 in Kansas City, Missouri. He graduated from Southwest High School in Kansas City, Missouri in 1971. As well as from UMKC in 1975, with a bachelor's in business. He was the president of Wretman Company and D&M Associates as a manufacturer's representative.
He is preceded in death by his father, John M. Hawkins; his mother, Betty M. Hawkins; as well as his younger brother, David M. Hawkins.
He is survived by his wife (and High School Sweetheart) Susie Hawkins; as well as their two excellent sons Thomas H. Hawkins (Amy), and Michael E. Hawkins; plus, his two grandchildren, Zoey R. Hawkins and Charles H. Hawkins.
Family and friends are invited to attend a 'Celebration of Life' gathering with 'Friends in Low Places' at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, MO on Friday, April 5th, 2024 from 5pm-7pm.
A damn fine man, and a great father and husband. We miss him.
