Patricia Ann Curry Ayers, 84, passed away on Thursday, June 24th, 2021 in her room at Westchester Village. Memorial services will be held at Mount Moriah Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 29th, 2021 at 10 a.m.
Patricia spent 25 years working at JC Penney’s before retiring in 2002. Her greatest joy in life was her family. She loved spoiling and feeding her family, especially her grandchildren. She never missed a birthday without calling and singing the entire Happy Birthday song to each of us. Patricia loved nothing more than chatting on the phone with her family, especially her sister, Sharon, and her kids. She was an avid sports fan and never missed a Royals, Chiefs, or KU basketball game. To honor Patricia’s passion for sports please join her family in wearing your favorite KC sports attire to the memorial.
Patricia was born April 20, 1937 in Fairbury, Nebraska to Asa and Mary Curry. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Jerry and Jimmy. She is survived by her sister Sharon (Clyde) Collins; her three children Mike Ayers, Sheila (Tim) Akers, and Robert (Denise) Ayers; and her six grandchildren Mitchell (Melissa) Ayers, Emily (Josh) Lentz, Mallory (Mitchell) Gevertz, Kyle Elliott, Isaiah Akers, and Emma Ayers.
Patricia’s family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated staff at Westchester Village and her Ascend Hospice Care Team.
