Larry was born in Independence, Missouri to Orson and Kathryn Nauser on August 9, 1950. He had many adventures growing up with his two brothers and three sisters. Larry and his son, Chris, enjoyed spending time building Legos, traveling and attending Royals and Chiefs games. He spent many hours helping Chris with scout activities, especially when Chris received his Eagle Scout Award. Andrea (daughter-in-law) held a special place in his heart along with his grandson, John Paul (in heaven) and his beautiful granddaughter, Catherine Elizabeth. Larry was loved and respected by a large family of siblings, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Larry graduated from De LaSalle high school in 1968. He attended the University of Missouri majoring in Photo Journalism. Larry worked in the family business, Inter-City Beverage Wholesale Beer Distributorship for many years. He also worked at Broadway Hardware and retired from Delden Garage Doors in 2016. Nativity of Mary Catholic Church in Independence, MO was always an important part of his life. He attended Nativity of Mary elementary school and served the church in many ways through the years. He especially enjoyed visiting with people as a greeter. Following retirement, Larry brought joy to others by visiting and serving communion to homebound and hospitalized patients. He was a member of Knights of Columbus. Larry was a talented photographer and enjoyed cooking. Family and friends remember eating his chili and smoked meats.

Services for Larry will be held at Nativity of Mary Catholic Church, 10021 E. 36th Terrace S., Independence, Missouri 64052 on Saturday, February 11, 2023. A Visitation will be from 9:30 AM - 10:45 AM followed by a rosary service starting at 10:45 AM and a Mass of Christian burial beginning at 11:00 AM. A committal service for Larry will occur after the mass at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 7601 Blue Ridge Blvd., Kansas City, Missouri 64138.
