Norman A. Goodman, 89, Kansas City, MO, passed away January 2, 2012 at K.C. Hospice House. Visitation 1:00-2:00 p.m. followed by memorial service 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 8, Mt. Moriah & Freeman Chapel, 10507 Holmes. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to K.C. Hospice House, 12000 Wornall, Kansas City, MO 64131. Norman was born April 23, 1922 in Tuxedo Park, NY. He joined the Army Air Force on July 29, 1942 where he served with the 441st Troop Carrier Group as radio operator aboard C-47’s, participating in Normandy and the Ardennes, receiving seven Bronze Stars for all campaigns engaged. He was a lifelong avid golfer, played professionally for many years and member of Southview Golf Club. When not golfing he was an electrician for Westinghouse/Bendix. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Dorothy Bradbury Goodman; three children Nancy Erwine of Liberty, MO, Johnny Goodman of Parachute, CO, and Andrew Goodman of Los Angeles, CA; and five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. He is also survived by his sister, Laura Sovak of Sloatsburg, NY, numerous brothers/sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Condolences may be offered at www.mtmoriah-freeman.com.
