Norma Jean Wynn

Norma Jean Wynn, 94, passed away peacefully on March 25, 2024 in Blue Springs, MO. She was born on January 6, 1930 in Hays, KS. She was one of seven, survived by her two sisters Nancy Wolters and Sue Nuetzling, and sister in law, Mary Jean Gorham.

She was a beloved and devoted mother, grandmother, and wife of 58 years to our father Robert John Wynn who preceded her in death.

Norma is also survived by four daughter’s: Renée Van Wormer and husband Dan, Rachelle Brummel, Eva Hardin and Jeff, and Marie Wynn; two sons: Robert Wynn and wife Ginger and Alan Wynn and Penny.

She had 14 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren: Amy Dean and husband Craig with 4 children, Emma, Noah, Jacob & Grace - Rebecca Redman and husband Andrew with 3 children, Isaac, Eli, and Nehemiah - Dusty Allen and wife Angela with 2 children, Elias & Mariel - Derrick Allen and wife Beverly with 3 children, Grady, Greta and Griffin - Adam Brummel and wife Mika - Benjamin Brummel who has passed away - Kristen Roder and husband Philip with 2 children, Halle and Nora - Daniel Brummel and wife Kortney with 3 children, Alex, Johnnie and Blaire - Samuel Wynn and Jen with Emily - Jennifer Wynn and Jim with 2 children, Peyton and Cooper - Chelsi and Charles Gatson - Stephen Hardin - Eva Leigh Orender with 2 children, Justice and Kingston - Shawn Patrick and wife Michele with 2 children, Wyatt and Tag’n – and Kendra Wynn.

Norma graduated from St. Xavier’s High School in 1948 and was awarded a four year scholarship to Mary Mount College in Salina KS. She & Bob married August 16, 1949. She loved caring for her home, Bob and six children! She was truly blessed with the gift of hospitality and decorating. She loved hosting family holidays and get togethers were high on her priority list! She was always genuinely interested in everyone’s life. She was an amazing homemaker, cook and excellent seamstress keeping her family well dressed. She blossomed into quite an entrepreneur in her 50s and ran a successful mobile home business until she retired. She was Owner/Operator of Normas Used Homes, LLC.

She will be greatly missed!

A visitation for Norma will be held Tuesday, April 2, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Floral Hills Funeral Home and Cemetery, 7000 BLUE RIDGE BLVD, KANSAS CITY, MO 64133. A rosary will occur Tuesday, April 2, 2024 from 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM, 7000 BLUE RIDGE BLVD, KANSAS CITY, MO 64133. A funeral mass will occur Wednesday, April 3, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. John LaLande Parish, 805 NW R D Mize Rd, Blue Springs, MO 64015. A graveside service will occur Wednesday, April 3, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Floral Hills East Memorial Gardens, 25203 E US Hwy 50, Lee's Summit, MO 64086.
