Nancy Elaine Tucker, 65, of Green Valley, Arizona (formerly of Shawnee Mission, Kansas), passed away Monday, July 23, 2012. Visitation will be held from 9:00-10:00 a.m., private visitation for her children from 10:00-11:00 a.m., followed by funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 31, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 7100 Hadley, Overland Park, Kansas. Burial in Shawnee Mission Memorial Gardens. Nancy was born April 29, 1947 in Colfax, Washington, daughter of Frank George and Sylvia Elizabeth (Johnson) Simonson. She had recently retired from SPX Cooling after 28 years and had moved to Arizona in May 2012. She was preceded in death by her parents. Nancy is survived by her brother Frank Simonson, Jr. (Noreen); her sisters Ann Kivi (Dan) and Mary Simonson. She is also survived by her five children Daniel Tucker (Virna) of Corona, California, Dennis Tucker (Julie Ann) of Bluffdale, Utah, Kathy Myers (Scott) of Shawnee Mission, Kansas, Duane Tucker (Tessa) of Green Valley, Arizona and David Tucker of Belton, Missouri, fifteen grandchildren, one great-grandchild, extended family and friends. Nancy was a selfless and devoted mother who raised her five children on her own. Her most favorite pastimes were spending time with her family, church activities, and working on her genealogy.
