Nancy Maddox of Shawnee, KS passed away Monday, September 25, 2017. Nancy was born March 23, 1932, in Kansas City, MO, the youngest of 3 children. A graduate of the University of Kansas, Nancy studied classical piano, a talent that she enjoyed throughout her life, filling her home with music and teaching that skill to others. At KU, she met her first husband, Bob Springer.
Nancy enjoyed trips to the lake, playing and listening to music, and keeping a tidy house. She married her second husband, David Maddox, with whom she enjoyed 29 years of marriage. She leaves behind 3 children; Kip Springer, Karen DiMauro, Scott Springer and his wife Jan; 2 stepdaughters Valerie Maddox Moore and Stephanie Maddox Francis; 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Simpson House (4509 Walnut St, KCMO) on Nov. 4th from noon – 3pm.
