Nancy was born in Liberty, Missouri and grew up in Richmond, Missouri. She shared a 44-year marriage with the love of her life, Charles Bent, with whom she raised 3 children. Nancy worked for Southwestern Bell in Kansas City, Missouri and Texas Industries in Dallas, Texas. She had many interests that included quilting, a passion she shared with her sister Bettie, gardening, sewing, and travel. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, sister, and brother-in-law and was especially fond of their trips to Germany. Nancy served as president of the Dallas Quilting Guild and was a certified Texas Master Gardener. Nancy lived in Texas until 2017 when she returned to her home state to be closer to her daughter, and 3 cherished nieces and a nephew that she loved as her own.
Nancy is preceded in death by her husband, Charles, father, Howard Inbody, mother, Amelia Moeck Inbody, brother, William “Bill” Inbody, and sister Bettie Inbody Blair. She is survived by her children Steve (Jill) Bent of Austin, Texas, Mark Bent of Jacksonville, Florida, Christy Bent (Jim) Blomberg of Kansas City, Kansas, 4 grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that gifts be made to the American Parkinson’s Disease Association. The family would also like to offer its heartfelt thanks to the caring staff at Tiffany Springs Memory Care and Three Rivers Hospice.
