He was preceded in death by his father, Arvern Bill Cron.
Michael is survived by his mother, Glena Faye Cron and sister, Sheila Osborne of Raytown, MO. He has one son, Robert Michael Cron (Kristen Cron) of Peculiar, MO. He has two grandchildren, who were the light of his life: Greyson Michael and Jackson Henry Lane. He has a niece, Lisa Norder (Ryan Norder) and two great nieces, Madelyn and Olivia. He also leaves a large number of cousins behind.
After graduating from Raytown South High School in 1980, Mike worked at Winstead’s and Caffeys auto parts store. He then worked for Midstates Blower for over 30 years and was with the company through their closing at the beginning of December this year. He had recently started a new position with Micro Finish. Mike was extremely able and mechanically inclined with a strong attention to detail. His skillset and abilities were well known by many who called on him for help.
He had a humble heart and a love for Christ, with whom he is now walking, or rather, racing down the golden streets of Heaven with. He was the man that the phrase “he’d give you the shirt off his back” was written about. His heart was pure gold and bigger than anyone I’ve ever known. He could fix a heart, fix a friendship, fix a machine, or fix a car. I’m proud to say he was my Dad and that I’m the man I am today because of him and his teachings. He was my hero and I hope that I am his.
The world lost one of the most caring, helpful, strong, and brilliant men that has ever walked this earth. His family and many friends were one of his most treasured possessions. He loved to drive anything with four wheels, especially if it made smoke. I’ve lost count of all the cars I’ve sat shotgun in with him, but not the memories. He was a Son, Brother, Uncle, Father, and Papa. He will be missed until we all meet again.
