Born in Booneville, MO, June 12, 1966, Melissa was the youngest child of Max and Charlla (Beecher) Boise and was raised in Holt, MO. She attended grade school and high school in Lathrop, MO, where she graduated in 1985. Melissa worked for many years as a legal secretary in various Kansas City law firms, and retired as executive assistant to the CEO of the Economic Development Corporation of Kansas City, MO.
Melissa was a talented pianist and played frequently at area churches over the years, as well as serving as accompanist to the local gospel quartet The Fishers of Men. She was a thoughtful, caring and giving person, never hesitating to selflessly assist others in need. Her children were her most important priority and she worked tirelessly to provide for them.
Melissa is survived by her son, Dillon Lloyd of St. Louis, MO; her daughter Kasie Lloyd, of Kansas City, MO; and her brother, Craig M. Boise, of Syracuse, NY. Both of Melissa’s parents, and her brother, Mark Boise, predeceased her.
A memorial service will be held for Melissa on Saturday, April 1st at 11:00 a.m. at the McGilley Antioch Chapel, 3325 NE Vivion Rd, Kansas City, MO, 64119.
