Maxine’s visitation will begin at 10:00am, followed by the funeral at 10:30am on Saturday, May 3rd at McGilley State Line Chapel, 12301 State Line Road, Kansas City, MO 64145. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, 8251 Hillcrest Road, Kansas City, MO 64138.
Maxine was born September 8, 1928 to Sterling E.V. Curtis and Lee Etta Schuble in Kansas City, Mo. She was the pioneer in starting a real estate magazine in the Kansas City area. She used her gifts and talents in her church through youth counseling and drama productions. Upon moving to Arkansas in 1993, she was an active member for the Lost Bridge Village Planning Committee and became an integral part of the community. Through each endeavor she was a friend to all.
Maxine is survived by her sisters, Norma Jean Kutlesa and Margaret Garbini. Maxine’s legacy is her children and their spouses: David and Dana Riggle, Denise and Bob Mathis, and Dawn and Bruce Holder; 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Maxine was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Charles “Chuck” Riggle; her daughter, Debby Gratto; her parents and her sister, Dorthy Dorrell.
