He leaves behind his parents, Michael and Cassandra Miller of Belton, MO and his brother and friend, Daniel Miller of Springfield, MO. His grandparents, Mary and Leroy Davidson of Lowry City, MO and Karen Sellars of Belton, MO along with numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins are mourning his passing.
Matthew was serving his country in the US Navy. He was attending the Naval Nuclear Power Training Command school in Goose Creek, SC to become an ETN (Electronics Technician, Nuclear) at the time of his motorcycle accident. Before this, Matthew attended Belton High School and graduated in 2020. He played tuba in the band and was a section leader his senior year. His favorite time of year was playing in Tuba Christmas which he, thankfully, was able to participate in on his last leave home. Other activities included robotics and football. Matthew also attained a black belt in Tang Soo Do.
Matthew has always endeavored to make it to space. He chased that goal and designed his life to get there. We are pleased to inform you that he is with the Creator of the universe and he has surpassed his wildest dreams. Although we wish we had more time in this life, we will joyously reunite with him in the next.
Services are scheduled for Saturday April 9th, 2022. The visitation will begin at 9am with the service to start at 10am and a graveside with honors to follow.
