Mary Esther Wilson

Mary Esther Wilson, 95, peacefully passed away on October 5, 2022 in Leawood, KS. She was born April 16, 1927 in Sioux Falls, SD. Mary Esther grew up with her siblings, Monica, Kathy (deceased 2021), Brian (deceased 2010) and Terry.

In 1952 she moved to Kansas City to attend Kansas City University. It was there that she met her future husband, Ernest B. Wilson. They were married in 1954 and raised two children. She taught Kindergarten in the Olathe School District for 25 years. Her favorite activity was bargain shopping.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ernie in 1993, and son Mike in 2017. She is survived by son Doug (Barbara), daughter-in-law Ann and three grandchildren, Abby, Jeff and Nick.

Services will be held at Queen of the Holy Rosary, 7023 W. 71st St., Overland Park, KS on Wednesday, October 12. Visitation will be from 9:30-10:30am. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30am. The Mass will be livestreamed at www.queenoftheholyrosary.org/funerals. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
