Allison and family, so sorry to hear about the loss of your mom. I have such good memories of her; she was so warm and welcoming. I remember her driving us to soccer and volleyball games, and she'd make waffles every morning during sleepovers. Keeping you all in my prayers.

My prayers go out to Mary's family. I was a dental hygiene classmate of hers and also practiced with her in Lees Summit, Mo. She had an amazing smile and kind heart. She was the life of the party and will be missed by many.

My prayers to Mary's family.  I went to high school with Mary.  I have run into to her now and then and we seem to be able to pick up as if it were 1974 again.  She was always smiling and very friendly.  I ;just found out today of her illness and passing.  Please be assured she will not be forgotten and made a difference in many people's lives.Rest my friend, until we meet again.

Dear Donna and family of Mary's, We were neighbors and classmates at St.E's. There were times when she was like a big sister to me, then we met up again and shared lots of memories from the past. I am so sorry to hear of her passing but she is not suffering any more and she will meet her loved ones again. May the lord wrap his arms aroud every family memeber and bless you with his love. I went to my first haunted house in 1973 with Mary Egan, Jeanine Jarnovic. and Mary Herrington.  All friends from STA.  I went in clinging to Mary Herrington and came out clinging to some strange guy and his girlfriend.  I almost peed my pants.  I must have waited 20'30 minutes for the rest of them to come out.  We laughed all the way home, I mean we guffawed.  Mary was an incredibly good and fun person.  The world is a lesser place without you, Mary.

Mary made going to the dentist (something I normally didn't look forward to) fun. I'm pretty sure the scheduler learned to extend my appointment time because we always ran over.  In spite of the sporadic conversation while she worked on me we always managed to catch up on our children, families and life in general. We had a lot to talk about, from the history of our parents being close friends, to our childhoods and now having families of our own. She was genuinely interested wanting to know how everyone was doing. She loved being a mother and loved her children dearly. We also shared information about our lives as mothers and women. We both agreed and laugh about what a delight it was to grow older (not), and were candid sharing the joys and challenges we had experienced as women. Not many can probably say they enjoy their dental visits. I'm lucky I can because of the added bonus of spending time, sharing and laughing with a lovely lady. She had a beautiful smile, a great laugh, and a kind heart. My prayers are with you Mary and your family.

To the Egan and Shelby families,
I am so sorry for your loss.  I pray God brings you some comfort.

Mary and I became friends at St. Elizabeth's, sharing so many happy times, like slumber parties, cheerleading, and playing volleyball.  At St. Teresa's, Mary was always ready for fun and had lots of friends.  Just thinking about her, brings a smile to my face.

Mary was a fun spirited woman who  loved unconditionally and in her dark moments she knew and felt the love of her family and she takes that with her. I grieve for all  that such a bright light has been snuffed. She had such a warm heart and smile and she was an amazing dancer. She danced all night at my wedding, mostly with her dad and my dad!!

Mary and I had great times together. I especially remember her positive attitude and how much she taught me when we coached volleyball together for Megan and Kate's class. And what a great laugh! I am lucky to have counted her as a friend!

I have very fond memories of Mary from when she and Donna coached the volleyball team at St. Elizabeth. You both had such a positive impact on us, and I was very sad to hear of your loss. We are keeping your family in our thoughts and prayers.

My deepest sympathy to the Egan and Shelby families.   Mary was a wonderful friend and I will hold her forever in my heart.

I was sad to here of Mary's passing. Even though we lost touch after high school, my memories are always of her smile and wonderful personality. My prayers go out to the Shelby family. Rest in peace.

Mary and I were in the same dental hygiene class at UMKC from 1976-1978. She always had a cheery smile and a great laugh. I hope your memories of her will help you in the difficult days ahead. You all will be in my thoughts and prayers. She will be missed.

To all my cousins and their families, I am truly sorry for your loss of such a wonderful, funny and loving spirit that Mary was. She really was given a tremendous journey these last months. She seemed to handle it with such Grace. In our visit with her she talked about her unending love for her family, her brothers and sister and sister in law. Dear Donna and all the Egan/Shelby family:  I was so sad to hear that Mary passed away.  I have such fun memories of the time Mary and Donna coached the volleyball team that my sister and I played on at St. Elizabeth.  They coached our seventh and eighth grade team in 1975 and 1976. They really put up with a large and rowdy group of girls but we had a good time.  I always thought it was special that we had sisters coaching us.
