Mary K. Nourse

Mary was born on October 3, 1946 in Jackson County, Missouri to James H. Justice and Minnie E. (Alff) Justice. She was raised in Kansas City, Missouri and graduated from Southeast High School in 1964. She married Joseph L. Nourse on November 04, 1965 and had 4 children. Mary wore many hats in life as being a daughter, sister, mother, and grandmother. Before retirement she worked as a Manager at Aetna mail order pharmacy facility in Kansas City. Mary loved traveling, being active, and spending time with her family. The last year in a half of her life was very hard for her, not being able to enjoy all the things she loved to do, but she still somehow always made sure her family was taken care of. Her death has left a big hole in our lives, but we know she is not in pain anymore, and is with God.

She was preceded in death by her parents James and Minnie, husband Joseph Nourse, daughter Angela M. Nourse, and brother John Justice. Mary is survived by her children Rebecca Nourse (Kansas City, MO), Denise Nourse (Kansas City, MO), Patrick Nourse, brother Jim Justice (Olathe, KS), sister Judy Hudgens (Dewey, AZ), grandchildren David J. Nourse (Gladstone, MO), Justice K. Nourse-Zessin (Kansas City, MO), and Samantha A. Nourse-Zessin (Kansas City, MO).

Visitation will be held at Floral Hills Funeral Home located at 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd Kansas City, Mo 64133 on September 30, 2018 at 10:00 AM followed by Services at 11:00 AM. Mary’s wishes were to be cremated. Memorial donation may be made to the Down Syndrome Guild of Greater Kansas City at 5960 Dearborn Street, Suite 100 Mission, KS 66202.
