She was a happy Daughter, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Aunt, Cousin and friend!
Sally’s childhood was spent in Lebanon, she moved to Holt Missouri when she was young and back again to Lebanon. Sally graduated from Lebanon High School in 1957. She moved to Kansas City Missouri shortly after that. Sally met and married Leroy Levy and had one son Gregory. They divorced and Sally found employment at Kansas City Life Insurance Company where she was laid off after about six months. Finding employment with Lynn Insurance she must have decided to stay put because she was there for 43 years before retiring in 2003. The company changed their name to Universal Underwriters Group and is now owned by Zurich. Sally held several positions in the company from secretary, personal secretary, payroll department and accounting department.
Sally is and was loved by all who knew her and came across her path. She was known as Grandma Sally or Grams by most. She enjoyed everyone with no judgement, accepting you for who you were. Sally was a most giving person you could meet. She would give you whatever she had regardless of her needs. She would just say “I’m fine” and smile and comfort you. In her last days, she would use what strength she had and wave at people and tell them, “God bless you and your family.” Even when she had no strength left, she would blow you a kiss and wave. She is blowing you a kiss and waving and saying God Bless you and your family now.
