Mary was born August 4, 1940 to John and Connie Flavin. After graduating from Loretto Academy, Mary began working at AT&T where she quickly climbed the corporate ladder. With these advancement opportunities, she lived in many different parts of the country, but always took the time to spend with family any chance she could. After retirement, Mary lived in California, then made Kansas City her home for a few years before she finally landed in The Villages, Florida, spending her last 7 years meeting new friends and enjoying the warmth and relaxation.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Tim Flavin, Bill Flavin, sister Connie Pat Ising and nephew Rick Ising. Mary leaves behind her brother and sister in law John Flavin Jr. (Betty), sister in law Charlotte Flavin, 17 nieces and nephews, 39 great nieces and nephews and 12 great great nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held in Kansas City on Monday, May 21, 2018 at 11 a.m. at St. Catherine’s of Sienna church, 4101 E 105th Terrace, Kansas City, MO. Burial will follow at Mount Olivet cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations would be accepted to Little Sisters of the Poor and Kansas City Hospice.
