Mary Louise “Babe” Dorlac, 84, of Overland Park, KS, passed away peacefully Thursday, January 31, 2013. Visitation will be held Monday, February 4th, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., at The Church of the Nativity, 3800 West 119th Street, Leawood, KS, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m., with burial following in Resurrection Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to School Sisters of Notre Dame, Resource Development, 320 East Ripa Avenue, St. Louis, MO, 63125 or to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105.
Mary Louise was born December 17, 1928 in Overland, Missouri. She married Glen Dorlac in 1946 and they shared 58 loving years together. Their purpose in life was to bring love to their family and friends. Mary Louise devoted her life to her family and the church. Throughout her life she served on numerous committees at St. Ann’s Church and The Church of the Nativity.
The loving union shared between Mary Louise and Glen blessed them with seven children; Diane Kehres (Don), Barbara Bates (John), Nancy Bruner (Ed), Karen Love (Mark), Tom Dorlac, Joe Dorlac (Holly) and Jim Dorlac (Carolyn). Mary Louise had 18 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, the grandchildren are: Jeff and Andy Kelly; Sean and Kathleen Bates; Holly Brown and Melanie Robbins; Jessica Bruner; Kevin, Gary and Heidi Love; Rebecca, Sara, Jacob,Rachel and Aaron Dorlac; Jimmy, Ryan and Tommy Dorlac.
The children would like to thank their parents for the God like example they provided them to follow. We love you Mom.
