Marva Kaye Newberry

Marva was a retired Chaplain and Psychologist with a Master of Divinity degree from Central Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City, Kansas. She was married to her late husband, Bobby E. Newberry for 27 years. She was a Special Education teacher for 20 plus years, a professional Girl Scout, as well as a cello player in the Manhattan Symphony Orchestra. She loved to camp, swim and waterski. Marva was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Margaret Nilson, of Joplin Missouri and her husband Bobby E. Newberry, of Independence Missouri.

Marva is survived by her oldest son Russell Newberry, his wife Cinnamon, and their three daughters Caitlyn Newberry, Rachael Newberry and Cassidy Newberry of Independence Missouri as well as her son Aaron Newberry of Kansas City Missouri and his three children Hannah Schmidt, Logan Newberry and Corbin Newberry.

Visitation will be held on Saturday November 10, 2018 at 10am at 1st Christian Church of Independence Missouri, 125 Pleasant St., Independence Missouri 64050. Memorial Service to follow Burial will take place at Floral Hills Cemetery, 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd, Kansas City Missouri 64133.
