Martha "Marti" Ann Price

Mrs. Price was born April 3, 1929, in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Chester and Elizabeth (Heitmann) Irwin. She was a graduate of Central Missouri State University and also volunteered for the American Red Cross, Methodist UMV Group, and several Animal Rescue Organizations.

She was preceded in death by the only love of her life of 65 years, husband Jim, son, John, her parents and sisters, Vera and Ruth, and brother, Scott. Marti is survived by daughter, Joanna Price (Paulette Metz), daughter-in-law, Dolly Price, two grandchildren, Shane and Casey (Megan) Price, and two great-grandchildren, Hunter and Hannah Price, several nieces and nephews, extended family and friends, and her two beloved cats, Abby and Toulouse.

Memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 14, at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64131. Burial will follow in Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Donations can be made in Marti's name to Hospice, VNA, or Alzheimer's Research; and any Animal Rescue Organization.

Marti's shining Light and wonderful smile will be truly missed by all who got to know her.
