Marsha was born November 17, 1950, in Kansas City, Missouri, where she grew up, graduating from Center High School in 1968. She was the consummate homemaker, softball chaperone/scorekeeper, and worked part-time in the insurance business. Before beset with illness, she enjoyed traveling, bowling, decorating the home, and spoiling her pets; especially her two poodles, Opie and Jewel.
A loving mother, her specialty was planning, cooking, and setting a beautiful table for holiday events. As a young woman of the 1960's in Kansas City, she loved her cars, her music, and her friends. She spoke often of time spent swimming at Ward Parkway Country Club with her schoolmates, and even worked one summer as a lifeguard at Oakwood Country Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles & Martha Lucile Heizer, and an older sister, Martha Elaine Heizer. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Howard B. Hayslett, of the home; three daughters, Evelyn Michele Belle, Murrieta, California, Tricia Lynn Povirk (Douglas), Lenexa, Kansas, Kara Ann Bell (Kirk), Rancho Santa Margarita, California; and two grandchildren, Parker Belle (Amne), San Antonio, Texas, and Payton Belle (Corrie), Long Beach, California.
Pending travel arrangements, a memorial graveside service will be held for Marsha sometime in the spring of next year at Mt. Moriah Cemetery, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri.
