Marjorie Brooks Webb

Marjorie Brooks Webb passed away to the Kingdom of Heaven on January 15th, 2011, she was 86 years old. Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 a.m. followed by Memorial services on Saturday, January 22nd, at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri. Interment at Oak Grove Cemetery in Fort Scott, Kansas. Mrs. Webb was born on January 11th, 1925. She was the daughter of Harry C. and Margaret Brooks of Fort Scott, Kansas. She attended schools in Fort Scott and attended Fort Scott Junior College. In addition, she attended the University of Kansas City, Missouri. She worked for Travelers Insurance Company in Kansas City, Missouri and then for Gentry Architects. She married Lester C. Webb, Jr. of Kansas City, Missouri on July 12th, 1952 at her family home. She and Les were married 52 ½ years at time of his death. Les Webb was employed by Black & Veatch Engineering for many years. She was a member of Community Christian Church for many years and was a member of the Alpha Circle. Mrs. Webb was also a member of the Missouri Society of Professional Engineers Wife Auxiliary since 1958. She is survived by her daughter Sally M. Webb-Pittman and son-in-law Craig Pittman of Kansas City, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, her request was to leave donations to either Hospice House of Kansas City, Missouri, 12000 Wornall Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64145 or College of Engineering Development, West 1006 Engineering Building East, Columbia, Missouri 65122, Attn: Al Eberhard.
