Marion Suttner Murphy, 98, died peacefully on Thursday, June 28, 2018. Her life will be celebrated at a 10 a.m. service on Saturday July 14, 2018 at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church at 40th and Main, Kansas City, MO. A reception will follow to share memories.
Marion was born in 1920 in St. Louis, MO to Anna and Arthur Suttner. She is preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Russell E. Murphy, Sr. Survivors include her son, the Rev. Russell E. Murphy, Jr., her daughter and son-in-law, Anne and Larry Worth; grandchildren: Erin and her husband Eric Worthington, Ted Worth and his wife Sarah; great grandchildren: Shawn Worth and Melody Worth.
Marion was an English teacher, a quilter, a fiber artist and a tireless volunteer. She graduated from University City High School and Washington University. Marion was voracious reader and loved to have book talks.
