Marion "Mamie" Jones

Marion J. “Mamie” Jones, 86, Liberty, MO, passed away quietly October 17, 2013 surrounded by her loving family at her home. Funeral services are 11:00 AM Monday at the McGilley Antioch Chapel, burial in East Slope Cemetery. Friends may call from 5-7 PM Sunday at the chapel. Contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society.

Marion was born November 11, 1926 in Kansas City. She was a 1942 graduate of North Kansas City High School. Marion was an amazing mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to all, and will be greatly missed and never forgotten. Heaven has gained a true angel. Marion loved crocheting, sewing, reading, using her I-Pad but most of all she loved spending time with her family. She attended St Matthew’s Lutheran Church, Riverside, MO. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ira “Casey” Jones; parents, Bryan and Rose Wells; brothers, Bryan “Mickey” Wells, Jr. and Paul Wells; grandson, Michael Jones and adopted sister, Flora McDonald.

Survivors include her children Karen and Larry Acord, David and Dawn Jones, Mark and Cheryl Jones, Gary and Susan Jones, and Ira S. and Michelle Jones; 14 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; sister-in-law and good friend, Dorothy “Dot” Wells; and several nieces and nephews.
