Marie Josephine Metz, 100 years old, of Kansas City, KS passed away November 5, 2014 at Kansas City Presbyterian Manor. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 8, 2014 at Holy Name Catholic Church, Iowa & Southwest Blvd, Kansas City, KS. Visitation and Rosary will be an hour prior to Mass at 9:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be given to Catholic Charities of Northeast Kansas

Marie was born Nov. 4, 1914 in Kansas City, MO to Joseph and Katherine (Schmidt) Enderle. She worked for 25 years at the Sears Roebuck & Company Mail Order Plant in Kansas City before retiring in 1978. Marie was a parishioner at Holy Name Church and was a member of the Alter Society. Marie was preceded in death by her first husband of 25 years, William O’Brien, in 1961, her second husband of 35 years, Harold G. Metz, in 2001, son-in-law, Joseph Fairchild, and siblings, Emilie, Joseph, Andrew, John, George, Anthony, Catherine, and Theresa. Survivors include step-children, Harold Metz (Ida), Cheryl Fairchild, Ronald Metz (Christy), and Mark Metz (Sandy); grandchildren, Laura Grojean, Matthew Metz, Martin Metz, Louis Metz, Anthony Metz, and Sarah Metz; great-grandchildren, Amelia and Harry Grojean; Online condolences may be offered at www.mcgilleymidtownchapel.com
