Marie Patton Keller

Marie Keller¸86, of Leawood, KS, passed away on June 19¸2014 at St. Luke’s South Hospital.

Marie was born on December 9, 1927 in Kansas City, MO to Lena and Salvatore Graziano. She was married to Dean Patton from 1947 to 1970. They had two daughters, Anita and Janice. She was married to Charles “Bud” Keller in 1999 until his death on June 4, 2014.

Marie worked at Black and Veatch Engineers for 28 years. She was past presidents of The Women’s Chamber of Commerce of K.C. and the ABWA. She was active with the American Royal and Saddle and Sirloin Club. Marie is survived by daughters Anita Mitchell of Bedford, TX and Janice (Dan) Kellerman of Lenexa, KS. Sisters Nina Graziano of Overland Park, KS and Virginia (Charles) Wingo of Georgetown, TX. Grandsons Brandon Matthews of Kansas City, MO, Jason (Melissa) Matthews of Lee’s Summit, MO, and John Mitchell of North Richland Hills, TX. Great grandchildren Jacob Matthews and Madison Matthews. Nieces Katherine Wallace of Sugarland, TX and Teresa Barnett of Plano, TX.

The visitation will be at McGilley Stateline Chapel on Tuesday June 24, 2014 from 6 to 8 pm, with a Rosary prayed at 7:30. The Funeral Mass will be at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 14251 Nall Ave., Leawood, KS . Wednesday June 25, 2014 at 10:00 am. Burial to follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Kansas City, MO. The family wishes to express their appreciation for the compassionate care provided by the doctors and nurses at St. Luke’s South Hospital during Marie’s final weeks.
