Born August, 26th 1945 in Amberg, Germany daughter of Anna / Maurer Birner and Joseph Birner. Sister of 4 siblings Kurt, Herman, Liselotte, and Linda. A mother of 3, daughters Diana, Michelle and son Joshua. Omi aka (grandmother) and great, great, Omi of 13 grandchildren. Married to her surviving, loyal and unconditionally loving husband Eckhard Preuss for 22 years.
She moved to the US at the age of 19 after marrying her first husband who she met while he was stationed in Germany, with the US Army and she obtained her citizenship in 1976. Graduated high school in Amberg, Germany in a trade as a Beautician. She was a woman of many trades and her hobbies and interests were: drawing, shopping, garage sales, animals, flowers, cooking, Facebook, taking pictures, engaged in activism, strong catholic religious faith, loved the ocean, world topics and loved meeting and making new friends.
Some of her memorable sayings were: “Use your German Brain” “Let it go” “You fly with the crows you die with the crows” “Tell me who you hang out with and I will tell you who you are” “ You can have a million boyfriend/girlfriends but you only have 1 mother” Her occupations included: Model, Tv commercial actress, Travel Agent, Bartender, Entrepreneur/business owner, Inspector at State Farm Insurance, Princess of the German club of Kansas City (04-05) Beautician and more..
She was an incredible woman who will be missed dearly but not forgotten. Please keep her in your hearts, she is with each of you in spirit and will continue to love you unconditionally. Remember the good times and she will live on through each one of you. Her love for her family and friends is Eternal!
A Rosary will be prayed for Luise at 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 11822 Holmes Road, Kansas City, MO. 64131. A visitation will immediately follow with a Funeral Mass beginning at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place at 12:15 p.m. at Mount Moriah Cemetery South, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, MO 64131.
