She was born on February 6, 1949, in Harrison, Arkansas where she grew up with her parents, Richard & Alecia Hancock and her six siblings.
Lotis graduated from Valley Springs High School in 1965. Lotis moved to northern California in 1969 where she later began her career in the Commercial Moving industry at Global Van Lines, working there until 1982. In 1982 she relocated to Kansas City where she worked for Seaton Van Lines for several years and then helped start up Kansas City Graebel Van Lines in Lenexa. Following her career in the moving industry she went to work as an executive assistant at the Kansas City Business journal, and then moved on to be dedicated administrative assistant to Nick Lowery, kicker with the Kansas City Chiefs. She then finished her career working in Scottsdale Arizona at Stratco Engineering.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard Eldon & Alecia May Hancock; and her daughter, Kelli Marie Young.
She is survived by her children, Todd & Chris Rea and their families; her grandchildren, Asia, Adam & Alex, and their families; along with her siblings, Paul Hancock, Herbert Hancock, Joanne Willis, Glenda Young, Donna Bleth & Donald Hancock & their families.
Lotis was a devoted mother, sister, and friend.
