I was deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Lisa. My heart goes out to all of you during this incredibly difficult time. Lisa was such a kind and vibrant person, and I feel truly fortunate to have known her. Her warmth, laughter, and generosity of spirit touched everyone around her.

Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you. May God wrap his loving arms around you and comfort you. I hope you can find comfort in the cherished memories you shared with Lisa and the love that surrounds you during this painful time.

I worked with Lisa at Mosaic in St Joe and she truly was an excellent nurse and coworker.  My thoughts and prayers to you all.

When I was ready for Colt to have his first bath I saved that for Lisa. Lisa is the one who gave Colt his very first sponge bath. I could go on and on about how Lisa always managed to be there for everyone and work full time. I know she had to have been tired. There were several times when she took Aiden before Colt was born. Even if she was unsure she wanted to take Aiden she would take him anyway. Lisa always took Aiden around cows, goats, chicks, and so much more. Ever since Aiden had been an infant he has been to the friendship festival every year. Aidens has gone on many trips with Lisa. When Lisa found out about her cancer she called me while I was at work and gave me the terrible news. Through this entire process I’ve helped anywhere I could have helped. After she found out Aiden kept asking where is your hair ma. And Ma would tell Aiden “grandma is very sick”There were several requests she needed me to follow. I promised her I will be there for her even while she is not here because Lisa did so much for everyone. I have never seen anyone fight like her. Lisa was still up doing laundry, walking around with Aiden and Colt being interactive with everyone. Through all her pain I never saw her go without a smile. One thing Lisa has begged me for is to never let her grand babies forget who she is. I looked at her and I said I could never let that happen. And no one around here would ever allow your grand babies to forget about you. You are never forgotten and we all love you. And every day you will be missed and one last thing please hug my baby in heaven the biggest hug possible.

This is when Lisa and I really started planning things and doing things together a lot. I remember when Lisa had her knee surgery is around the time I was on maternity leave Lisa and I were always doing something. Lisa was always the mother figure I ran to first with questions about my kids. Even then just simple life advice. The first 3 years of Lisa and Aiden being best buddies, he had many sleeps overs. The many FaceTimes, to Lisa Aiden was her candy hound. Aiden had everyone on their toes and still does. Then came our baby before Colt. Lisa and I always talked about how we felt it was a girl and what we were going to name her. The moment I knew something was wrong with that baby Lisa was the first person I went to asking should I be seen and she told me yes. I went to the er and had confirmed I had miscarried. Lisa was the first person I told crying. Then while miscarrying Greg and I’s baby it went extremely south and Lisa was already staying with us and again she was the first person I went to scared. Lisa tried to convince me to wake Greg up and I was like no I’m currently not working because of the situation I don’t want to wake him if I don’t need to. While I was in the hospital waiting for a D and C Lisa was up talking to me making sure things were ok. When I found out the situation was a lot worse than I thought it was Lisa went and woke Greg up and explained that I was in the hospital that he needed to come. That night Lisa stayed with Aiden for multiple nights in a row because I got admitted into the hospital for 3 nights. Then when I found out about Colt I told Lisa. Once again she was one of the first people I told. I asked her “hey Lisa how should I surprise Greg that Aiden is going to be a big brother” and Lisa gave me the idea to go out to dinner with Greg and put a big brother shirt on Aiden. While I went through this pregnancy Lisa was there giving me advice on how to introduce Aiden to colt. When Colt was born Lisa was there.

Part 2 of 3 Memories

In memorial of Lisa, 
Lisa may not have been my biological mom, but she took me in like I was her daughter. The first time I meet Lisa was at a family thanksgiving at Mary’s. That day I was a little more quieter than normal. Coming off as shy, well during the dinner I was extremely tired, nauseous and I could not figure out why. Little did I know a few days later I found out we were expecting. Well as I warmed up to the family more I ended up reaching out to Lisa about my pregnancy with Aiden. It all started there that she made me feel welcomed and I was her family now. I remember to this day very well, the amount of talks we had about everything. One talk I remember really well is about how I was quiet at that Thanksgiving dinner, and that she was hurt that we did not tell her we were expecting and she found out through her sister, and her sister found out through Facebook. Through all the talking I apologized to her. Another day I will never forget, the day I had Aiden I was talking to Lisa about how I was pretty sure my water had broke. Lisa then immediately called me asking questions and all I remember from that phone call is “YOUR WATER BROKE.” Then next thing I heard was hold on. Then the phone click. Next thing I know Greg is on the phone with his mom and came running into the room I was in and said no it did not.. blank, shocked look. Then the panic of getting all of our stuff packed because I was expected to carry Aiden for another 2.5 weeks. After having Aiden Lisa came and stayed with us a few nights to help us. Greg and I were so overwhelmed with being first time parents.

Lisa had a heart of gold & instantly made you feel loved. She touched our family in so many ways. She loved her family & boys more than life. I love you Lisa 💜

I’ll never forget you my precious best friend! Until we meet again.  This is just temporary until I see you again! I miss and love you so much! And I’m so glad you’re not suffering anymore. I know how much you loved Jesus and I’m so happy to know your with our Lord!

I am so sad to hear of her passing. She was an excellent RN and I always enjoyed seeing and talking with her.

I worked with Lisa at Mosiac for several years.  So sorry for your family's loss.

I’m going to really miss you Lisa! It was you and I that went to the hospital that night after our mother got hurt. We have both been through some of our toughest battles together and a lot of times we didn’t get along. I’m grateful that you were able to live with me. I’m still very jealous of you that you get to see our mother first. I’m also glad that you don’t have suffer anymore. I will see you and mom again. Peace be with you Lisa
