Leslie William Cory, 93 died Friday, March 22 in Denver, Colorado. He was born May 30, 1919 in Kansas City, Ks. son of Minnie Briggle and William Cory. He married Lorene Davis. She preceded him in death.
Survivors include: a daughter, Nannette Meschke of Hutchinson, Ks. and husband John, son, Mark Cory of Denver, Co. and wife Diane, grandsons, Scott Meschke and wife LeaAnne, Cory Meschke and wife Brie, Mike Cory, John Cory and three great grandsons and one great granddaughter.
Leslie William was a prominent architect in the Kansas City area. He was responsible for designing many beautiful homes and churches in southern Kansas City. His family residence in Leawood was placed on the Leawood Historical Register.
He was a member of the Army Air Corp. He was a Mason, a member of the AIA and an avid fisherman. Most of all he enjoyed time with his family. He will be greatly missed.
Memorial service will be 3pm Saturday, April 6 at Mt. Moriah and Freeman Funeral Home with visitation prior to the service starting at 2pm and burial of ashes in Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
