Leah was born July 17, 2010 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and she fought for her life, but she did not let it slow her down and continued to live a life full of adventure, joy and most of all, bravery. She made sure to teach these many virtues to people in her life. She painted a picture with the words “You Are Brave”, and she was. Leah brought awareness to CHD, Congenital Heart Disease. She was a believer and brought people closer to God. She showed many nurses, doctors, specialists and patients that there are true miracles performed by God.
Leah made sure to make a special place for her family and brought families together. She was an inspiration to many people by bringing awareness to organ donation. For her entire life she was always touching the hearts of so many, helping to inspire love and bravery to all. Leah was always a very active, vivacious child. She played many days away, enjoying Shopkins, Frozen, and anything pink. Leah loved music, creating art, and spending time with her family. She loved unicorns, and cupcakes.
Leah is survived by her parents Ryan and Kim Mason, who love her dearly. She was one of five children and is beloved by her siblings, Alexis, Alyssa, Brooke and Paige. Leah leaves behind her grandparents, Karen Duty of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Richard & Rita Mason, of Coweta, Oklahoma; Great Grandfather, Wilbur Taylor of King City, Missouri; along with many aunts, uncles, nephews, cousins and friends.
Leah is preceded in death by her grandfather, Charles Duty; and her great-grandparents.
A Visitation for Leah will be at 1:00pm, with a Memorial Service at 2:00pm on Friday, August 9 at Cornerstone Bible Church, 10336 NW Prairie View Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64153.
In lieu of flowers, due to Leah’s long term illness, donation to the family would be welcomed. Although Leah’s life might have been short, she lived it fully and touched more hearts than many do in a long lifetime.
