Larry D. Summers, 81, Peculiar, MO, passed away September 30, 2014. Visitation will be from 9:00-11:00 a.m. Friday, October 3, followed by funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Rd. Burial in Mt. Moriah Cemetery South.
Mr. Summers was born January 15, 1933 in Stet, MO. He was a Shriner and a volunteer for the Shriner’s Children’s Hospital. He was a member of the Grandview 618 Masonic Lodge and Peculiar United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents Raymond B. and Oletha Y. (Walker) Summers and his wife Anna Summers. He is survived by daughter Karen McCance (Malcolm); son Kevin Summers; brother Dwayne Summers; grandsons Dylan and Brydan McNeely; and great-grandson Uri McKee.
Larry’s long career in the chemical business brought him great pleasure and respect. He will be remembered for his love of life and family, his keen negotiating skills, wit, and his generosity.
