This message is from my brother, Jim Jenkins.  Since he can not get on this site, he
asked me to tell you how sad, sorry and disbelief that Lance has left us!!!! You
have his deepest sympathy.  Friday night  when he plays at the Country Club he
is going to sing Vince Gill's song "Go Rest High On The Mountain" in honor of
Lance!!!

I met Lance thru wrestling, and we rode motorcycles together, hang gliding, shooting pool, and hung out together.  He liked our boxer so much, we gave him his first boxer pup from one of our litters.   A great guy and fellow Marine.    We want to extend condolences to Mrs Shope, Curt Shope and family.   Semper Fidelis! 

Grew up with Lance from C.A. Burke to SmithHale & graduating in 1976 from Ruskin. One of the nicest guys to be around. When I moved back into the neighborhood we would come across each other. I told my sons about his wrestling and they stopped by his house to listen to his stories. He was good to my sons. Sending prayers to his family. 

Dear Aunt Eunie; Curt; Lorry and family:
A very sad day but so thankful for the good memories I have............he always
greeted me and my family with a smile and I am smiling this very minute as I
write this but I also have tears in my eyes!!!!!  He was very loved, as well as
you, and until I can get up to see you, hug each other; tell each other how much
you love each other.  I know in my heart he is safe, happy and enjoying visiting

Lance was a great friend of mine.  I have fond memories with Lance and his family growing up.  My thoughts and prayers with Mrs. Shope and the family.

Lance graduated from Ruskin High school in 1976 with our third Son Michael L. Gladden, we are heart broken over the loss of Lance at such an early age, he was always a special person in school as he was among the finest of High school wrestlers, a state champion and a very humble person in wins or losses, which was not often.  The Bill & Bennie Gladden and Family sends our sincere condolences to all Lance Family and many friends who knew and loved him.

Lance has and will always hold a special place in my heart. He gave me his kindergarten picture and asked me to marry him. He was in kindergarten and I was a teenager. He was the cutest little red head ever! My prayers go out to Helen and Curt. Helen, I love you so much!

As a member of his Ruskin Class of 1976 we all share our condolences to the family.  We are all sad and share in the grief of his death. 

I just saw Lance Wednesday at the store! I am so sorry for the family especially for Mrs Shope- her and Lance took care of each other for so many years! They both have always been so good to me! I love you Mrs. Shope!
