Kenneth E. Stead, 82, North Kansas City, MO, passed away March 20, 2014 at NorthCare Hospice House. Funeral services are 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 25th at the McGilley Antioch Chapel with burial following in Resurrection Cemetery. Friends may call from 6-8 PM Monday at the McGilley Antioch Chapel. Contributions are suggested to NorthCare Hospice House.
Kenneth was born January 6, 1932 in Platteville, WI. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and retired from the Army following 21 years of service. Later he owned two Tobacco House Stores in Bates City and North Kansas City, MO. Kenneth was also active in the city council of North Kansas City. He was a Catholic. Kenneth had a giving heart for everyone and liked to have a good time. He was preceded in death by his first wife of 28 years, Margaret; and his second wife, Peggy.
Survivors include 3 daughters, Debra (Ross) Hood, Jacqueline M. (Patrick) Bleyhl, and Susie (Kelly) Pulley; 2 step-sons, Jim Debo and Tim Debo; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
