

He was born in Chicago on October 4, 1946. He moved to Lagrange and then to Colorado Springs where he was a top ranking gymnast. He graduated from Colorado Springs High School. He met and Married Kathryn M. Windsor in 1969 and renewed their vows in 1998.
He and his wife moved to Kansas City to raise their two daughters Shawna and Stacy. He moved to Gravois Mills and the Lake of the Ozarks after they graduated and lived there for many years until returning to Kansas City after his wife’s death in 2004 to settle in Odessa MO.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clayton and Elnora Blandin, and his wife, Kathryn Blandin. He leaves behind a brother, Richard (June) Blandin of Tennessee; his niece, Shirley (Ted) Stead of Illinois; daughters, Shawna Blake of Independence and Stacy (Troy) Johns of Kansas City, MO; four grandsons Nathan and Kenneth Blake II, and Matthew and Dylan Johns; many nieces and nephews and loved ones.
Memorial visitation will be held on Monday, Oct. 7, 2013 from 6- 8 pm at Mt. Moriah and Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, KCMO. Graveside Service will be Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2013 at 11 am at Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to MADD – Mothers Against Drunk Driving, 14815 South Hwy 71, Grandview, MO 64030.
