Kenny Best of Kansas City, Missouri passed away on January 18, 2022, at St. Luke’s East hospital, Lees Summit, Missouri. He was born August 13, 1947, in Kansas City, Missouri to the parents of Kenneth A. Best Jr. and AnnaMay (Lawrence) Best.
Kenny married Connie Darnell January 8, 1971. They have two children Allison and Kenneth Dale Best Jr.
After a 35-year career in the Sheet Metal Industry he retired from Sheet Metal Local #2 receiving his 50-year pin in 2016.
Kenny is survived by his spouse of 51 years, Connie; daughter, Allison Best Lowe (Joseph) and son Kenneth Dale Best Jr.; Grandson, Daniel (Elizabeth) Best; Granddaughter, Rebeca (Mathew) Vogel, Brittney Green; 7 Great Grandchildren, Braiden, Cecilia, Blaze, Levi, Delilah, Axel, and Jaxon; 2 Sisters, Candace Austin and Debby (Gary) Pointer; Several Nephews, Nieces and cousins.
Kenny had avid love for Music, Baseball & Bowling. Music of any type but to him nothing beat those Oldies from the 50’s & 60’s. He coached little league baseball for 35 years at SSJBA & KC 3&2. He bowled for 60+ years from the Youth Leagues up to the Sr. Leagues. He was able to
achieve that perfect “300” game on 3/13/1992. His last 25 years were mainly dedicated to Many Masonic
Group. Past Member of the Aarat Shrine and Kansas City Scottish Rite 32 degree. He was truly a DEDICATED Mason. Past Master Swope Park Lodge #617 and Secretary for several years. He was appointed in 2014 by the Missouri Grand Lodge to serve as DDGM for 2 years for the 18th District. Currently serving as Treasurer of Lee’s Summit Lodge #263. Current member of the Westport
Commandry #68, Tall Cedar of Lebanon, Wyoming #43, Royal Arch Mason, Independence #49, Cryptic Mason, Square and Compass Association, East Gate Travelers Club, Swope Park #520 Order of the Eastern Star werehe served 2 terms as Worthy Patron.
William F Kuhn Missouri Demolay Chapter he was very active for 18 years serving as Chairman and now currently Advisor. He was Honored as a Legionnaire. He served as an Area Governor, taught several summers at the Demolay Leadership Camp as well as assisting at the yearly Conclaves. He was appointed in 2009 as Deputy Supreme Council Member on the International level currently active. He served as the Associate Guardian for Bethel #29 and Bethel #1 Missouri Jobs Daughters and Vice Grand
Guardian on the State Line.
Kenny was currently employed at Lee’s Summit Home Depot Store (6 Years) upon his death.

The Visitation service will be Thursday 1/27/2022 from 6-8
pm with the OES Service at 7:30 at Floral Hills Funeral Home, 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd, Kansas City, MO.
The Masonic Funeral Services will be Friday 1/28/2022 at
10:00am also at Floral Hills Funeral Home.
