Karen V. Kueck, 86, Overland Park, Kansas, passed away February 12, 2017. Karen was born in Chicago, IL. The family moved to KC, MO. Graduated from Paseo HS in 1947. Graduated from CMSU in 1967 (BS & MSE) and 1971 (Ed. Sp.). She was a teacher in the Raytown C-2 School District for 26 years.
Karen was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Gertrude Johnson; father, Clarence Johnson; sister, Alberta White; husband, Leon Kueck; and daughter, Roxanne Tuttle Carter. She is survived by her sister, Doris Sirens; son and wife, Robert and Brenda; four grand children, Krissy Smith (K.W.), Kelly Thomas (Chris), Kyle Kueck and Katie (Kueck)Langley; and seven great-grandchildren, Kevin, Kaleb, Kaine, Keith, Kayla, and Khloe Smith and Kooper Thomas.
Visitation will be from 10-11 am, Friday, February 17, at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes, Rd, Kansas City, Mo. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association and the American Diabetes Association.
