With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Joseph "Joey" Charles Rose, a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend. At the age of 60, Joey left this world unexpectedly, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering devotion to the people he cherished.
Born on November 18, 1964, Joey was the youngest of thirteen children, the treasured son of Richard and Beulah Rose. From an early age, he had an innate ability to see the best in others, always offering friendship and support to those around him. If Joey loved you, he loved you completely, with a loyalty that never wavered. His kindness was immeasurable, his memory sharp, and his storytelling unmatched—filling hearts and homes with laughter and wisdom.
Joey was a man of many talents. He had a natural gift for fixing anything, whether it was a broken appliance, a car issue, or simply helping a friend in need. His ability to diagnose and solve a problem was uncanny, and he took great pride in his work. As a maintenance engineer specializing in HVAC, he dedicated over 40 years of his life to the apartment and hospitality industry, earning respect and admiration from colleagues and friends alike.
Beyond his work, Joey found peace and joy in fishing anywhere! He loved the patience, the challenge, and the satisfaction of reeling in a catch. He also had a deep love for sports, especially football—there was no bigger Chiefs fan than Joey. He’d cheer them on with an unmatched passion, discussing plays and stats with an enthusiasm that lit up every room.
A devoted father, Joey’s greatest joy in life was his children, whom he loved with every fiber of his being. His presence in their lives was steadfast, always offering guidance, humor, and unconditional love. He is survived by his beloved wife, Sarah, and his cherished children: Baylea (18), Memphis (12), and Bentley (9), who will carry his love and lessons forward.
Joey is also survived by his siblings: Dicky & Judy, Butch & Irene, Barb, Beverly, Brenda & Tony (Quinonez), Beth (Morales), Bonnie & Jerry (Morales), Billy, and Belinda(Bryant); Nate(Humphrey); Zeb & Kira(Humphrey) many nieces and nephews; and his son Cody(Taylor). He is preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Beulah Rose, his sister Linda, his brothers Randy and Larry, and brother-in-law Bill(Bryant).
Joey’s kindness, intelligence, and unwavering devotion to his family and friends will never be forgotten. His memory will live on in the stories he told, the love he shared, and the hearts he touched.
May he rest in peace, forever remembered and deeply missed.
